Longnshort,
with global cooling people don't need AC anymore
Heck, people don't really need A/C anyways. If it's hot outside, just put a wet towel on your head. Or drink cold water. (Refrigerating water uses less energy than cooling a room.)

I remember visiting my relatives in Korea one hot summer. This was back during the days when few people had A/C there. My grandparents would give me money so that I could go to the local convenience store and buy popsicles to keep cool. Meanwhile my parents would eat cold noodles, use old-style fans (the kind you hold in your hand and wave in front of your face), and use other methods to beat the heat.

Look at us nowadays. "Oh, we need to reduce our carbon footprints. Hey, did someone turn off the A/C? Oh come on, I got a few drops of sweat on my keyboard!"
