>> You say that and omit the fact Bush left Obama an economy on the brink of a great depression.

>> That makes your statement a classical right wing lie.

Only if you have a convoluted understanding of what a "lie" is, which you do.

Bush didn't "leave" Obama the horrible economy. That economy was a product of liberal policy. Medicare, Medicaid, the War on Poverty, but mostly Clinton's idiotic demand that banks lend money to unqualified buyers, while Barney Frank and Chris Dodd flatly refused to reform GSEs. And Obama made it worse with Obamacare and the "Stimulus". The stimulus which was a total waste of money and provided no benefit, whatsoever to the economy, and didn't come anywhere CLOSE to Obama's promise of keeping unemployment under 8%.

When the president says, "Give me a trillion dollars and I'll keep unemployment under 8%" -- then he blows the trillion and unemployment skyrockets, that is a failure. Period. End of story.

He said it. No one else. I would argue that any saving that happened was a result of Bush's $700 Billion in taxpayer loans that were repaid (unlike Obama's stimulus, which was just wasted).
