Between the French and the USians, Haiti has been a political shitshow from the day the first European set foot upon it.

Well, it is more than the French and the US. But there is no doubt it has been both a shithole and a shitshow for the last 100 years.

But neither president used their respective terminology to refer to Haiti.

I have a friend who travels Africa extensively for his company and knows many, many people there. He was highly offended at the original news reports. But his commentary was based solely on the people he knew, not the train wrecks like Somolia.

A president who was elected on a platform of putting America first can hardly be expected to encourage immigration from some of the shitholes in Africa. I'm sorry, but that makes absolutely no sense to any rational individual.

I would like to hear the best thinkers on this thread, instead of criticizing Trump, explain why you all believe it is a good idea to allow immigration from the shitshow shitholes or whatever you want to call them.
