Hi Jodi! Welcome to the thread. You start with $5000 and the experiment is to attempt to average $1000 per week during the course of 1998 with it. So you are starting with $5000 it can be in cash, equities,or a combination of these...calls,puts,shorts,margin...anything at all...post your start portfolio before the open Monday...you are into the second week with $5000 and a target of $7000 for this week, so like Sue you are shooting for a target of 40% this week...remember positive is good!

Thanks for the compliments Kevin and Sue! I hope I can keep it up!
UTI really nailed you Sue...I really hope it will bounce up this week. I may buy calls in something Monday...thinking about it.

Cents,

It appears our venture is starting to attract more attention.
Will that be a problem for you to keep up with new participants?

Maybe we can limit the number of players or share the burden some
how of keeping track. Your efforts are appreciated and I don't want
to take unfair advantage of your kindness. I Don't really want to
limit the number of players. It brings new possibilities to our
attention that we might not have seen or known about that could
prove fruitful. The opposite of that is also true for spammers but
I think we can weed them out pretty fast.

Maybe an honor system of posting our own buys and sell transactions with dollar amounts already calculated might be the answer with ground rules established in advance. What do you think? Since you are the official "keeper of the tally" whatever will work
out best for you is ok with me.

Kevin
