Rarebird, you said:

Billy, I must confess I love Intel because of its fundamentals! Its chart is in a
downward trend at present. I bought at 75.875 and will continue buying at every
major drop during this Bear Market. Why? I love that Merced chip and I think Intel
is positioning itself for some more explosive growth down the road. This is a true
investment with a proven company that is second to none. I hope it moves lower so
I can buy more and more and more......

Hmmm.... Intel is in a downward trend in a bear market, and you're buying because you "love the Merced chip"? It sounds like you are a closet techie!

I could tell you about the margin problems Intel may have because of competition from Cyrix and AMD, which are already being used in Compaq PCs. Or I could tell you that the Merced chips will require Rambus memory, which is more expensive than standard memory or EDO or SDRAM memory. But, since I'm a techie, I don't care about those things. INTC has made its missteps, as in the under $1000 PC market and the digital video market. I like INTC, and I hope it does well. And I really admire Andy Grove. I truly hope your INTC investment does well.

The INTC conference call this week should be interesting.
