It's time to re read "Catch 22". Re Syria Turkey "freedom fighters" Ukraine Crimea Russia etc. For some reason Americans think it sensible to cause war in Ukraine with an intention to take over Crimea and conquer Russia then get all whiny when Russia helps eastern Ukrainians. They also thought it an excellent idea to back ISIS against Assad and his lovely wife Asma and to outright invade Syria to establish a new country in the north perhsps as a prelude to further conquest in the rest. I note Hawkmoon ran away having claimed USA has not had territorial aspirations. Umpty million Syrian dead maimed traumatized and refugee gone shows different. I am hoping ElM with his perspicacious global insight can explain to readers what the heck is going on. In fairness to Team USA, for decades Syria, Iran and many others have threatened another Holocaust. They make the same threat against me via their murderous jihad infidel head hacking manual. Iran intends to upgrade from head hacking to nuking. I'm happy that such nuking ideas be nipped in the bud. Pakistan is jihad nuke armed. India is their main territorial concern. Meanwhile Kim the Fatter has "invented" atomic bombs and rockets in a remarkably short time. Russia and China probably don't mind North Korea drawing fire. Notice hiw south China sea is down the problem list while Norks are problematic. Perhaps Hawk and ElM can clear our fog of ignorance. Mqurice

Armageddon is somewhere there at which time all versus all denouement is supposed to happen. Per canary in coal mine prediction from 2015, that would be in keeping despite the now supposed Golden Era which some consider now on but from which many, maybe most as per democratic results, feel excluded. Turkey NATO USA Kurds plus Syria Russia Iran Saudi Arabia in general shoot 'em up isn't really a contradiction. If Kurds Turkey NATO/USA shoot at each other as provoked by USA there is a beneficiary of the apparent contradiction. The USA equipment suppliers enjoy improved sales. If everyone is harmonious and conducts boring trade it's unprofitable for those who sell shoot em up equipment. Live fire exercises are good to keep troops tuned up and equipment development tested and paid for. It seems odd to have jihad Turkey INSIDE NATO. But when the USSR was the main enemy it made more sense. Now that the so-called "free" world is more socialist than the old commie countries it's silly. Mqurice
