VVV is the plain answer. Brazil is short in supply of VVV. Arms and legs are of very low value. Chimpanzees have arms and legs but GDP per capita and per total near zero.

Bangladesh has hordes of arms and legs but terrible GDP per person and in total. But they have a lot of Islamic ideology which is far from Virtuous Victorian Values though there are some things in common.

If arms and legs mattered India would be top of the pops. Economies of scale help a lot but only if each unit in the big numbers has sufficient VVV not to mention intelligence. India has a head start over China and others because english has been the lingua franca for many generations.

Foolishly India tried to ditch english but young people told stupid old racist fogies that english is crucial for joining the money flow. Hindi is a waste of brain space.

As proven by little Singapore Hong Kong Luxembourg Iceland etc VVV matters a lot more than size. New Zealnd proved rhe theory in reverse by ditching VVV and sliding way down.
