"We may have already seen the 1998 market highs...."

I was hoping and expecting that the January rally would last another week or two, but I fear that you are right. That's what my Voodoo T.A. crystal ball sees.

But I also think the bear won't last all year. Which may just be wishfull thinking.

I enjoy reading this board, but I find it to be too bearish. I guess that's why you call it short picks though. I doubt we've seen the lows, but I doubt we've seen the highs either. I expect the market to come pretty close to those highs again this week, but it probably will not make new ones. After that it's up to earnings and fear which will probably force the market a ways lower. Congratulations on your picks!

RE: DELL, CMQ, INTC. A friend in the disk drive business has told me, that as bad as the fourth quarter was, the first quarter may be worse! Surprisingly, the volume of orders from the boxmakers has fallen way off for the first quarter. Are the boxmakers (and INTC) seeing a serious drop in demand coming? Food for thought ...
