Unfortunately using more post consumer content is not a new degradable material for drinking bottles. IMO A new degradable bio-material would have to be rigid enough. Stand up long enough to what product goes in, and be cost effective. I work in paperboard packaging. So your topic is of great interest to me. So many more companies are using post consumer content these day from recycling. Some of the biggies have pulled out of plastics ADM/Metabolix Plastics from corn PLA polylatic acid. I followed this area for many years. IMO Costs play a big part for big companies to spend extra money. I have put down a few more links that might be of interest here. Good luck with your thread.
