What changed for me is with Acronis 2018 you can now clone the drive while it is still active and online vs older version where you needed to clone from dos via a restore disk. This makes the process so much faster and efficient than in the past. I also always buy my primarily drives in pairs. So right now I am using 2 512g Samsung SSD pro drives so I clone from one to the other over and over and again test the copy after completing the cloning then store in a fireproof filing cabinet in my office.
