Rex: RE: Stepper Problems?

"Are you hearing any reports about unusual technical problems with
steppers? Are you hearing reports of stepper implementation problems from makers such as Canon and Nikon?"

With ASML and Canon, the only big problems are with step-and-scan systems.
These problems have more to do with the fact that everyone but SVGL is
playing catch-up in step-and-scan. Nikon is having similar problems,
but there are alot of rumors that their problems go beyond scanners alone.

Most of the scanner problems have to do with synchronizing the reticle
and wafer stages. A new problem unique to scanners.

They have nothing to do with Cymer lasers.
