Go with Western Digital. I have over 30 external WD drives from the "My Book and Elements" lines and not one has failed yet.

I have 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, 4TB, 5TB, 6TB, & 8TB in these WD lines of external drives.

B&H Photo has great prices and I buy there often.
WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive -- $99.99

I was looking for a Seagate external, looks like Staples this week after checking several local stores.

Steve, I routinely use Google shopper. It's one of two Google features that I like. Make sure you activate product search and you will get a little shopping cart next to the Google Lite search box with a green down arrow pointing into the cart. (check "product search" in the options sections)

Then you enter the item description with or without model number in the Google box and click on the shopping cart. The results are pretty accurate and amazing. Often selecting one of the results gives a better price at the merchant. I swear by it.

I also use the recent news search that will show recent headlines about something. Other than that, I use Bing and Duckduckgo
