They have the "big bucks" it is true. It is very difficult for Micron to compete against the deep pockets of Samsung and SK Telecom/Hynix. However, there are many other factors at work all the time as well. The market for memory products continue to grow at an ever increasing rate so there may be enough room for all to grow. The "memory" market per se may be stagnant, but opportunities for more complex applications seem to be growing very rapidly.
