If I have to be homeless I want to be in FL or CA if I'm sleeping under a bridge. Of course. But this is what you call a logical fallacy. It simply is not the point. The minimum wage does not HELP homelessness, it makes it worse.

Remember, the basis for this thread was the suggestion that southern states are poorer than CA, and someone mentioned that CA is the poorest state in the country, which is correct. When that was questioned, I corrected Mannie.

It wasn't really my argument, but I had just looked at the figures the other day or I wouldn't have commented.

The point stands: CA (and NY) has an extremely high poverty level compared to other states.
