I agree NAG, and would put that in the category of fighting. We must fight the Republicans keeping in mind how destructive they are. They are a manifestation of the human species we saw in the 30's Germany, Nazi party, moderated by modern civilized norms and mores. I hate to say this, but remember Obama did not want to fight the Republicans and he was the leader of the Democratic party for eight years. He never wanted to carry the Democratic flag into battle against the Republicans like FDR and JFK did to an extent. He kept saying no red America and no Blue America----. But nothing could be farther from the truth. And for eight years the Republicans excoriated the Democrats and made life hell for Obama and the dems and then the minute they got power began laying waste to the country reversing everything Obama ever did that was good, which was a lot. And now they are laying waste to our best administrators and, rules and regulations. They are engaged in wholesale destruction of the agencies and people that protect our country and society. All of them from FBI and state to Environment and Health and Human Services. And they are not just packing the courts with hard core right wingers they are finding young healthy people who will be there for along time. Obama appointed two great people to the supreme court, but their longevity will be less than normal as they are both over weight and not that young. He never administrated in a strategic manner like FDR did. He never confronted the oligarchs like FDR did. Even Obamacare which was his signature achievement he allowed to languish for a year trying to work with Republicans, every one that betrayed his trust. Every one. During that year his army got disbanded and greatly hurt the Democratic party going forward as seen by how many Democrats across the nation lost their seats both at the state and federal level. This should be a perfect lesson of what happens when Democrats refuse to fight the Republicans and forget what they are about.
