I wasn't thinking about gloating in that way. I was thinking of it as a factor that will steel their resolve to keep screwing with the dems.

They are like the school yard bully who only understands a bloody nose.

It was just reported that Trump is in a meeting with six of the hard care no immigration Republicans: Cotton, Perdue, etc.

I could not agree more. And imagine the campaign stories coming out of this- little kids who've had their lives saved by access to CHIP. And who fought for those kids? The dems. The Dreamers will come next- and the dems will fight for them too. And how does that make the republicans look? "We fight for the super rich, not for kids and worthy immigrants who came to this country as children."

Ugh. Yeah. That's appealing.
