I don't think liberals feel that way. They want to reach out to them.

Bernie reached out to them. More than Hillary did. So did Warren.

We understand their plight and want to help them.

That is our nature.

A lot of Democrats don't like to talk to the kinds of rural, white, poor voters who used to vote Democrat but in 2016 voted for President Trump in huge numbers. Those voters don't want to help themselves, those Democrats say, so why bother?
