QP2 permits you to turn off the vertical cursor OR
set the vertical cursor to black which does the same thing.

Either way, there is no vertical cursor visible, and there is no
interference with how charted data is displayed.

I have been using QP2 for about 20 market days and have encountered
no system problems.

My [red, white and green] volume bars and green prices show thru a dark blue cursor [on a black background] fine.
