In the first one, the Giants scored the winning TD and the Patriots got the ball back with only 29 seconds, deep in their own territory. In the second one, the Giants scored the winning TD and left the Pats deep in their own territory also with under a minute left. They moved it to mid-field and missed a hail mary to end the game.

So you are right the Pats had the ball at the end, but with not enough time to score. And in both games, Brady and the Pats came from behind to take the lead, as I initially stated, but Eli and the Giants had the game winning drives. Don't shortchange their accomplishment.
