First among them is the support of our military in Middle East wars to protect our allies, including Saudi Arabia. Most of our wars are for oil or as a consequence of our past meddling in the Middle East due to our securing of oil supplies. Remove the subsidy of our $1 trillion a year military and make the oil and gas companies pay for their own security. That would be a game changer. Our military budget would go down and our war expenditures would go down. Oil prices would go up, because it's expensive to secure oil outside the US.

Think of the $10 trillion we've spent on war this century. Why did we do it? We have no need of the Middle East anymore.
