Ha!... yeah, last I saw of Wile E., he was all charred black, no fur and his skin barely covered his spindly bones... I should have checked to make sure, but that coyote musta run a couple miles in the time I could count to 10 and it was hot, I didn't have much water with me, and didn't feel like lugging all of my stuff across the desert just to check him... yeah, he'll probably show up at my door, hat in hand, if/when the rainy season really gets going this winter... gosh, it got down to 43 the other night... had to turn on the furnace for the first time in 2018... and I'll probably take him in again... he does a pretty fair job of cleaning up "mistakes" in the lab...

Don't they have prop bets like when your host passes... out... or when the first adult beverage spills onto the floor in a shower of broken glass, or any newbie tries my "special" recipe chili and 10 seconds later runs out the back and jumps into the pool while steam rises all around them -- I seem to remember one large man some years ago nearly emptied the pool all by himself...

I may borrow the AZ strategy they use for their pools in summer -- they have ice blocks delivered to keep pool temp below 85-90°... no joke... visiting friends there one spring training, the local nightly news kept a body count they report every night of how many kids have drowned year to date -- reminded me of watch network news in the '60s and early '70s when every night they gave body counts from the war in Nam.
