ESPN's 'The Best of the Losers'

Thanks for that link, Jeff. It is an excellent photo essay and a keeper. Well chosen teams and well assembled. I spent some time exploring it and it brought back a lot of memories of NFL seasons past and the great players of those years..

Cheers, - Eric L. -

"the 16-7 Jets"... OK, I guess the Jets got to play a lot of extra games that season just to qualify for the SB???

Actually, I know that was the score of the game SB III, when Weeb and Joe Willy upset Weeb's former team... Weeb was a family friend and I believe I've posted my dad actually played HS football and basketball and Weeb was the coach...

I met Joe Willy at Weeb's funeral... never saw so many limos in Oxford, Ohio in my life as there were for that funeral.

Weeb is still the only head coach to win championship in both leagues... great guy... good story teller... there'd be parties and Weeb always hung out in the kitchen where we kids would surround him and listen to the stories.
