He is looking at true value.. Living onshore and rarely travelling overseas as is the wont of the US masses.. It works out.. For Canucks .. Many of whom travel south it hurts to have a weak loonie..

He is not talking subterfuge.

I'm not sure why you are asking the questions you put forth? None of what I wrote had anything to do with how one trades.

If you've taken advantage of the weak dollar and have anticipated this dramatic a fall, good for you!!

It's all good as far as I'm concerned but I do think there are long term ramifications when employing a "weak dollar policy". Some of them are good and some are lousy to very bad. As Black Swan pointed out, many see this as goosing the short term while adding to larger "bills to pay" down the road.

EDIT - let me change the word MANY in the last sentence to "I"
