A friend of mine who thought Don Jr. legally meeting with some random Russian lawyer was the height of treason now waves away the FBI and DOJ's illegal surveillance of a presidential candidate and president-elect and conspiracy to effect what is essentially a coup. If we've come this unmoored from common ground then only guns will bring us back together again.

That they cannot abandon partisanship when the assault on a lawful election results in criminal conspiracies is a sad reflection on the level to which our public life has sunk ....yep.............our founding fathers warned us.........it doesn't matter how great a constitution we have.......our judicial system.... the courts.....our common laws..... the checks and balances built into our govt, etc. etc,.........if the people lose virtue..............all is for naught.................we seem to be way past that point.............Is there any turning back?...........I doubt it
