Harry, just a comment in response to your observation that Individual Investor is usually willing to make a mistake.

Take a look at Magic 97 pick Act Networks (ANET), recommended at 34 1/4. When ANET dropped to 19, they said "we need to pound our fists on the table" (or something similar) in support of a continued buy recommendation.

When it went down to 13, they quickly shifted to a sell and by year end it went down to about 7. My point is that their first reaction in the past has been denial of their mistake, followed by an attempt to get out in front of the bad news and claim that at least they admitted their mistake....in ANET's case, only after a loss of 2/3 of the initial price!
