I agree.

Both the chip companies and the equipment companies are the strongest survivors who have prevailed through "Sovereign investment that included dumping product at below cost prices to gain market share and end up as the leader ie South korea.

Many a BK has driven today's survivors into battle hardened competitors.

China will learn that misallocation of funds is more the norm when it comes to countries funding the "Potential" development of a key industry".

There needs to be some industry within China - but the days of strong arming a leader into "sharing their best technology" just to get a foot in the door won't be happening.

Intel builds their celeron MPU in China - but the leading edge chips are with in the US.
