We should help Puerto Rico. Why that country is not a state is beyond me. It should be. We're absolutely negligent on Puerto Rico. I have friends there and their conditions are deplorable.

As to Haiti, here's what I said again:
There's not conspiracy to put Haiti down. There's just a combination of bad government, lack of resources, and external actors like Hillary who exploit Haiti, which is what is really keeping Haiti down.
I stand by that statement. I understand the history you have documented in your post, but that is history. TODAY, there is no conspiracy to hold Haiti down. Bad government and continued exploitation is what is happening. It's happening in African countries too, where bad and corrupt government, including dictators loot the wealth and impoverish the people, then they blame it on the Western countries, including most vociferously the US. That is not fair and I'd say it's downright wrong. Anyway, like I said, we're broke. It's time to focus on the poverty here in America. We have plenty of work and we'll need plenty of our own money to solve our own problems. Once we fix the problems right here at home, we can start worrying about countries like Haiti. America First.
