To: John Vosilla who wrote (768 ) 1/27/2018 9:10:52 AM From: Rarebird Respond to of 1504 John - I've had you bookmarked for years. I haven't always agreed with you, but I could always count on a unique, independent, thoughtful voice. Now you are beginning to sound like a Trump puppet and I'm disappointed. The independent voice I came to respect is now fading away. You made a post about a year or two ago about NYC and said you didn't think your experience from being there was all that everyone cranked it up to be, that you didn't think the experience was all that special. I let the comment go, but took note of your feelings. I wondered why you felt that way. I figured maybe you were shy or did not feel comfortable in big cities. I came to the conclusion that NYC is not for everyone, for whatever reason. But then I started putting one and one together, as I began reading your pro Trump posts, where you strongly identify with his "America first" philosophy. And I came to the conclusion that perhaps the melting pot of NYC, with all the different ethnicities and values may have offended you, that you perhaps saw something in the diversity of values and lifestyles that were un-American. Yes, I moderate a gold board and I do have an independent gold bug side to me. But I do trade other markets and currently run a portfolio of 50 stocks, which does not currently have a gold stock in it. I do trade the gold market, long and short. And yes, I am liberal and do believe in single payer universal healthcare. But the vast majority of my posts on SI are stock and market related and I don't view SI as primarily a place for me to spit out my political views. I joined SI in 1997 for the stock and market commentary and dialogue and that is my prime focus today. I apologize for being hostile, which is usually not a good thing, but I am prone to emotional outbursts. I had a duodenal ulcer at the age of 12 and the doctor put me on a strict diet and it only got worse. I was then taken off the diet and told not to hold my feelings inside and express them whenever I felt the need. Since I've done that, I've never had a duodenal ulcer recurrence. In the future, I will remove your people mark to reduce the chances of another outburst. But I am disappointed in you. I liked the John Vosilla independent voice better.
