<<There will be another burst of sales in retail this year also. I expect the Zip 2 to be shipping by the end of the summer. This will mean a great upgrade cycle for all of the Zip drive already out there. Think about it. By mid-summer over 20 million Zip drive will have shipped and a good percentage of those users will want the Zip 2 for so that they can share both 100 MB Zip disks and the 200+ MB ZIp disks.>>

Frank, this is what I meant when said in an earlier message, "the snowball effect." Once the ball starts rolling, it's only going to pick momentum and deep pentration. I think the low end CPQ model is extremely positive and overlooked by many of us on this thread. Regardless of what cRocky saiz, ( i.e. monitor not included.)

>>The thing that I'm incredibly anxious for is NEC and MKE(?) turning on.<<

Seems like I've also been incredibly anxious for this too for about the last year! I'm actually rather disappointed it's taking so long.

I think you're a little early on Zip2. Don't expect this until the Zip is in >50% of new computers or HiFD becomes a big threat.

I agree that '98 will be amazing for IOM. Hopefully coupled with dazzling stock performance.
