What we know is Reagan promised to balance the budget but instead created almost 3x more debt than all previous presidents in history combined. We fought worlds wars, the Civil War, two World Wars, the Vietnam War, the Korean War, built an interstate highway system, put a man on the moon, had a Great Depression, fought a Revolutionary War and created a fraction of the debt Reagan created. Now, every president that follows Reagan has to fund the Reagan debt.
