Our founders never met modern day republicans. If they did, they'd ban them. They vote for massive new spending, massive tax cuts and consign all future generations to pay for it. They are the only party in American history who felt entitled to money that hasn't been created yet (debt) from people who haven't been born yet. Since tax cutters gained power our debt soared from less than $1 trillion (pre Reagan) to almost $21 trillion with $1 trillion deficits starting next year. They intentionally destroyed our future as they bought votes with government debt. They are the oligarch's whores.
