We have two people at FBI - one who was in the cointel division that should have first hand knowledge - that says it isn't factually inaccurate. FBI is like any other person or entity accused of wrongdoing - "I was framed!" or "they lied, I didn't do it!" The credibility of the denials and objections are about as low as any other wrongdoer's, IMO.
