So far the Cisco and Ericsson partnership is not doing the business they had hoped to achieve. Cisco and Ericsson expect more 5G business in 2020 when their customers finally settle on the configuration they're happy with. They're building-out a test 5G network in Berlin for Deutsche Telekom.

Deutsche Telekom's subsidiary T-Mobile is an early adopter of 5G particularly in rural areas with a tremendous amount of new low-frequency spectrum dedicated 5G and has partnered with competing solutions provided by Nokia and Intel.

Deutsche Telekom will be closely comparing the results in the US with the network in Berlin before going forward in additional markets.

Make the correlation: Jan. 7th SpaceX lost the highly classified Zuma payload for the US government.

Jan. 16th The Pentagon was urged today by one of its best friends on Capitol Hill to share more information about how ready American forces are for war, after Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and Chief of Naval Operations John Richardson urged more restraint in releasing information.

Jan.29th President Trump floats the idea of "A U.S.-built 5G network could in theory be more resilient to Chinese government intrusions." China is the dominant manufacturer of network infrastructure and (the National Security Council) notes the importance of building the network with “equipment from a trusted supply chain.”.
