Scientists and astronomers still say that there are countless chunks of ice floating about our solar system in the form of comets; that in fact is the source of much of the water that is upon the earth. It could be feasible that a large comet impacted the earth during the age of Noah and released enough water vapor into the atmosphere to cause it to rain 40 days and nights..just a thought.. gregor
