David, I am playing things on the conservative side. Over the
weekend, I tried to compare the market patterns to October.
On Friday, Oct 24th, the market was off 133 points, then
plunged on Oct 27th. If one bought at the market opening on Tues
Oct 28th, you would have done well.
So, the big question, was, how to compare Fridays close to
the October pattern. If Friday represented the Oct Monday
Oct 27th pattern, then buying at the market this morning
opening would have been the thing to do. I chickened out,
and decided to wait for the computer to give buy signals,
which occurred about 10:30 on a number of tech stocks.
I was still chicken. I now have only some CPQ and MU calls,
but afraid of market reaction to MOT earnings tonight.
By the way, I have buy signal on MOT also, which would
indicate possible good earnings report, and up tomorrow.
No rules say I have to trade every day, so I am mostly
on the sidelines today.
