>>I agree with Cowen that the Accelar is shipping. Do you want to go on record today and stand behind Wessels Arnold & Henderson and say it's not shipping?

Losing wager on losing wager. You've already lost because you had an opinion without comprehending the words in the Dow Jones article originally referenced on the BAY thread
207.183.153.93.

Here's the article:

Bay Networks Falls 9% On Concerns Over Stalled Shipments

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Bay Networks Inc. (BAY) shares fell 9%
Friday amid concerns that the company has delayed shipment of its gigabit
ethernet for the Accelar 1000 product line
.

In an afternoon research note Friday, a Wessels Arnold & Henderson LLC
analyst said "multiple sources" had reported that the product is not shipping
yet and would not ship for several weeks
. The firm described the gigabit
ethernet product as being "the next major product cycle for Bay."

A receptionist at Wessels Arnold & Henderson said the analyst doesn't
speak to the press.

An analyst at Cowen & Co. took issue with the Wessels Arnold &
Henderson report, saying Bay Networks had begun shipping the product in
December.

"We believe incorrect information has hurt the stock today (Friday)," said
Chris Stix, of Cowen & Co.

Stix said he anticipates Bay Networks to ship $50 million worth of the
product in the quarter.

Bay Networks officials couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Bay Networks shares recently were trading down 2 5/8, or 9.2%, at 25 7/8
on volume of 5.3 million shares, compared with average daily volume of 3.2
million shares.

Reached after the market close, Bay Networks said it has released its
Accelar 1000 product line as planned. The core product has been shipping
since the middle of December, while the gigabit ethernet portion is slated to
ship during Bay's third fiscal quarter ending March
.

Bay Networks director of investor relations Sandra Toms characterized as
incorrect a Wessels Arnold & Henderson LLC report that said the gigabit
ethernet product was delayed.

Toms said Bay previously had stated it would ship the gigabit ethernet
product during its third quarter.

Read it carefully this time - especially gigabit ethernet for the Accelar 1000 product. The words say Cowen was wrong (on this) and BAY confirmed that fact. Wessels was correct in saying the gig eth product was not shipping - whether they said it was "delayed" or not is not clear from the story - the research note portion says nothing on that, but BAY flack seems to want others to believe that's the case.

So if you can read you will see that no matter what the others said it is only Cowen that was clearly wrong in saying the gig eth product was shipping when it was not - your side in your last, losing wager.

Bay had a press release today, stating that the Accelar shipped on-time, with Gig ports to follow (as planned, no surprise).

I wonder about this Weasel, Arnold & Henderson, I mean they state incorrect information about BAY and put a SELL signal on CSCO, perhaps they thought their commentary would drive prices down on both stocks so they can buy in, like most ANALyst do. Most of them are useless anyhow, and only a minute few even understand the tech sector.
