I divided them into four main groups many years ago:

imprinted during youth

biological propensity

criminals and sociopaths

and neurotic

The above personality traits do not do well in the Democratic party leadership, but thrive in the Republican leadership.

All one has to do is look at the Republican presidential candidates over the last few years.

In 2016 the GOP went through one candidate after another raising them to the top and then when everyone got a good look at them realized this person could not be president e.g.

Michelle Bachman, Cain, Huckabee, et al

And so finally they settled on Romney although few of them really liked him, but he was the only one who could do the job. Well and Huntsman who got 1% of the vote and ironically was the best they had.

An the other hand almost all major dem candidates qualify.
