**Nathan, Tell your friend that Zip is the standard**

TO ALL: 'tell everyone that the Zip is the STANDARD' at every suitable opportunity.

Sheila -

I don't think that's a very strong argument against buying a SparQ. The Zip and SparQ aren't really even designed for the same purpose.
The only real arguments against the SparQ are that first, reliability hasn't really been established and second, the small installed base makes sharing data difficult. The first argument may not really be valid, because we just don't have enough information yet. The second argument doesn't matter to many people. It especially wouldn't matter to a person who wants a SparQ because a friend has one.

On the other hand, the fact that a person doesn't see a need to swap disks today doesn't mean the need won't arise in the future.

If someone asked me about SparQ I'd tell them about Jaz's much larger installed base. I would tell them that Jaz media prices have been coming down and should continue to do so. But I wouldn't completely rule out SparQ, especially if data sharing isn't a concern, because the media pricing is just too appealing.
