Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz demanded the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee be recused from future involvement in the Trump-Russia probe. Gaetz said Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) invalidated his ability to properly investigate allegations against President Trump, which include those in an unverified dossier compiled by former MI6 officer Christopher Steele. Schiff has said that Trump has worked with a foreign power (Russia) to affect an American presidential election. Gaetz said recent revelations about Schiff show his "hypocrisy" on the matter, declaring the Burbank representative did effectively the same thing.
