"You pays your money, and you takes your chances." CNBC-TV
this day featured award winning, market technician extraordinaire
John Murphy. Mr. Murphy has placed his clients on a "bear market
alert" and suggests the likely possibility that US and world
markets are headed for clawing by the bear. He noted that his
models show European and US bourses to be, in his words,
"toppy." Mr. Murphy is no fool, and I have always appreciated
his insights.

Meanwhile, Byron Wien of Morgan Stanley today advises that the
market may suffer a further decline down to 10 to 15 percent
from its recorded highs, though, noting increasingly favorable
valuation models, Mr. Wien told CNBC-TV that he is buying
selectively at these levels.
