Trust me, I have zero input into who gets deported from California or why.

I have no information on the particulars of bart13's case other than what little she has shared here. Something about her background as a member of Scientology if I recall correctly.

All I know is it has clearly left her very embittered. . . but, Not my problem.

Perhaps you can contact her privately and tell her how to apply for asylum in Hong Kong. That's certainly a generous offer.
