Kenny has no idea what an interim security clearance is. Officials are granted an interim while the background check proceeds. So, unless he lied or omitted material facts there is nothing to see hear. It sounds like the FBI was doing their job and during the background investigation they discovered this activity. So Mr. Porter was not arrested for this but is being accused of this by a former spouse. That is not necessarily grounds for not being granted a security clearance, but he choose to step down because of the distraction it could become. He didn't lie on the application or omit a material fact. At this point this is a he said she said issue, however Mr. Porter is taking the high ground and resigning as he so should. So with that standard Kenny, Bill Clinton should have resigned as President because his "personal" life and lies became a distraction to the office.
