My wife brought home the Feb. edition of McCalls Magazine. There is a series of articles that covers the cold and flu season. On page 76
it discusses ZINC.

The article states: "In at least three studies, subjects who took zinc-gluconate lozenges within 24 hours of a colds onset got better in roughly half the usual time............And not all zinc lozenges are equally effective. Look for zinc gluconate with glycine (the only formaula thats been shown to work). Avoid tablets that contain citric acid, tartaric acid, mannitol or sorbitol -- these additives tie up the zinc."

although no speific product was endorsed or mentioned in the article, I could see Cold Eeze written all over that :}
