IVAN1:

I caught most but not all of the report and this is best I can do.

It was about 2+ minutes of Y2K "101" on NBC Evening News. Initially explaining the 2 digit problem and systems not recognizing 2000 from 1900. It was interesting at one point while naming a few things involving embedded issues (ie. elevators shutting down, etc.) they were showing mainframe computers. The term "embedded" was not used. They also elaborated on the credit card issue with expiration dates beyond 2000. They interviewed a store owner in Washington and mentioned a lawsuit by a company in Michigan. I may have the state wrong. Some mention of governmental agencies but not in depth (at least what I caught).

Humbly report, IVAN1, what vpelt said.

All I can add is that the report started with the usual "warning" take on the matter, and ended with the ususal "soothing" BS, which I am getting allergic to these days!

Other than that, you've seen it before.

WHEN for crying out loud is 60 Minutes going to do a piece on this that does the issue JUSTICE, I wonder in vain?
