I don't watch Fox News. I find it to be propaganda just like CNN is for the other side.

I've said it before, I don't watch Fox News and I'm not a Republican. But I know that it makes many Democrats feel better to classify me, in order to avoid grappling with hard truths. Speaking of classifying people, this is one of the things I find very unhealthy about the Democrats. They think that Identity Politics, the practice of dividing the country into little groups of minorities and under-represented people and then telling them they are victims, is a good strategy for developing a healthy culture and a power base for getting elected. In addition, they think that banning words and changing our language is a way to enlightenment. Check with any psychiatrist and they will tell you that fostering victim mentality is a very dangerous and unhealthy path. Talk to any historian and they will tell you that censorship and making people afraid to talk their mind is a recipe for Dictatorship and loss of freedom. Emphasizing unity and common ground, transparency in speech, discouragement of violence and intolerance, and encouragement of civil discourse are the ways forward for a healthy culture and a healthy political party. Right now, neither party is doing a very good job of this, but the DNC in particular has become unhinged. I think they think they will win big in the upcoming elections. I doubt it. The amount of anger that is building on the right is in direct proportion to the violence, intolerance, and refusal to engage in civil discourse that is occurring on the left. It's Newton's Third Law: action equals reaction. Cause and effect. Who will break this cycle and unify the country again?
