Williet:

It is unfortunate that people like you exist on SI.

It's equally unfortunate that you take my remark, admittedly secondhand, as a serious attempt to "help my short position." Do you really think that I would try to influence the price of one of the most heavily-traded stocks on the NYSE by posting here?

Go back and read my last post carefully; it's only three sentences.

I'm trying to confirm or dismiss a rumor. That is all. A balanced view will make us all better investors.

And if such a remark was never made, why is CPQ down when all the other boxmakers are up?

White lies or not he should stay if only for the sake of tempering unbridled enthusiasm for the CPQ on this thread. Sure you always cheer for your favorite horse, but one thing is for sure....there is no such thing as a sure thing. If anything, Rick's comments are healthy for this thread if it creates a bit of uncertainty, and thus reality. If everyone was like minded on this thread and margined out when CPQ hit the 70's we'd all be opening margin call notices today.
