OT: AMRS. Nice pop in the stock today. IF we can overlook the income statement and balance sheet (Can Graham followers do this?), the company has a lot going for it. It's got the backing - insider buying - of John Doer (who maybe made $1B as an early investor in Amazon). The company has research and patents for "tweeking" molecules to get something "pure" in an ingredient. Like "Pure Cane" a zero calorie sweetener that's been or is being introduced: amyris.com There's sqalane, something that's used in skin cosmetics: amyris.com Maybe today's pop in share price is an indication that more people believe the future is good for Amyris. finance.yahoo.com
