Well Australia has quite the gun culture too, and they have been doing something about it. Yes. Back then I was surprised and encouraged that their efforts made as much headway as they did. Bear in mind, though, that they must have been softer than we are to start with or they would never have been able to get the initiative off the ground. The first step is the hardest. You you need a critical mass wanting to take it. And the result, at best, is not a cure but only a mitigation.
