As just one person my opinions and actions might be inconsequential. But that applies also to an individual voter there. If you knew something about calculus you'd know that what matters is what those inconsequentialities add up to in the big picture. There's also the butterfly effect.

There's also the canary in the coal mine effect.

A tsunami is made up of individual molecules.

My experience over decades is that I have a disproportionate influence.
