I really don't have a strong opinion on the assault weapon issue. But it obviously does not solve the problem and will just inhibit real measures that would make a difference. Example: Why do k-12 schools not have student ids required for access, and secure check-in/out areas? So you are guaranteed that every person on the premises is supposed to be there? This isn't complicated or even that expensive. Take it out of the student loan budget. Nope. Doesn't exist. Gun bans are futile and it will take the Left 10 years to figure out it didn't help one bit.
